How to deal with overgrowing moss on a grassy lawn

A beautiful green lawn is a goal that many gardeners aspire too. However, unfortunately growing a lawn which is pristine is colour and free of bugs and other nasties is quite the challenge and unfortunately lawns in the UK are constantly bombarded with other vegetation that wants to grow alongside it. The main culprit is moss.

Moss can wreak havoc on turf in the moister climates around the globe. It essentially rids grass of all nutrients the soil has to offer and grows higher and quicker than grass which therefore blocks sunlight.

The most convenient way to deal with feeding and weeding a grass lawn is to use a combined lawn fertilizer and selective weed killer. This helps in two ways;

a) Kills weeds / moss whilst leaving the grass untouched

b) Feeds grass with vital nutrients to flourish

By applying both chemicals to a lawn will enable a gardener to help work towards a beautifully clean cut green lawn whilst reducing the amount of weeds and unwanted vegetation simultaneously.
